As a former Girl Scout, I really loved this post about the Girl Scout Promise.
Until I saw this pop up in my Google Reader, I had all but forgotten the words that I’d memorized from such a young age. Once I read that first bit, though, they all came back (Not the Girl Scout Law though. I’ve forgotten that sucker).
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
So it was rather nice to see this grown-up version on One Week To Crazy. I’ll be putting that into effect, pronto.
You know… On My Honor, I Will Try, to…well, basically be fearless and fantastic?
Those were the days of sugary innocence, when you delved into day-camp and then couldn’t get “Make New Friends” out of your head, or when the Christmas ornament (which you hand-made by drenching it in red glitter) was the gift you couldn’t wait to give.
